Richard Mather
Rich is a Director in EFPR Group’s Tax and Small Business Department. He has been with EFPR Group since 2011 and has over 10 years of experience in tax and small business in a broad range of industries.
His experience includes working with small businesses, partnerships, inpatriate and expatriate clients, as well as a broad range of complex individual situations. He has extensive experience with the 965 transition tax and 951A GILTI tax. He works with individuals in the U.S. and abroad helping them through the IRS streamlined procedures that are available to bring themselves back into compliance.
He has great deal of knowledge related to controlled foreign corporations, controlled foreign partnerships, foreign disregarded entities, foreign grantor trusts, and passive foreign investment companies for both businesses and individuals.
He works directly with clients to help establish and monitor global mobility programs. For new entities or entities looking to create a branch or subsidiary, he assists with check the box elections and entity structuring. He also assists with expatriate and inpatriate returns, hypothetical tax calculations, equalization calculations, totalization certificate planning and application, and other aspects of international taxation.
Together, Rich’s tax and accounting experience gives him a well- rounded perspective on the issues which most affect small businesses and individuals with international aspects.
