Kara is a Director in EFPR Group’s Tax and Business Services Department. She joined the firm in 2020 and has fifteen years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for closely held businesses and individuals.

Kara offers a variety of tax services to clients. Her experience includes income tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to partnerships, limited liability companies, S and C corporations and the owners associated with such businesses. She also has broad experience with consolidated C-Corporations and multi-tier partnerships.

Kara is a member of the firm’s multi-state taxation group, providing multi-state tax consulting and compliance services to clients. She is also a member of the firm’s international tax division, assisting individuals and businesses with US tax issues. In addition, Kara leads the tax discussions for the Cannabis team.

Kara is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She received her B.S. in Accounting from LeMoyne College.

In addition, Kara finished the Master of Cannabis Certification Program course in 2023 from Cannabis Training University. She completed the advanced coursework in all areas of the Cannabis Industry including Indoor Marijuana Growing, outdoor Marijuana Growing, Medical Marijuana, Marijuana 101, Budtending, Cannabis Cooking, Cannabis Extraction, how to Open a Dispensary, How to Open a Cannabis Business, and Cannabis Laws and Regulations.
