July, 2018 – Rochester, New York: EFPR Group, LLP is pleased to announce David Veniskey, partner in the Tax and Business Services department, has been awarded the Jim Robinson Volunteer of the Year Award from Rochester Childfirst Network (RCN). RCN is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to advancing the quality of early education and care in Western New York, through leadership, advocacy, and innovative direct services to children. Dave has been on the board of the RCN Foundation since the 1980’s and worked very closely with the leadership to make it grow.

This Award was established by RCN in 2002 to honor Jim Robinson’s commitment and support of RCN for over 30 years.

“Like Jim Robinson, Dave Veniskey has provided leadership, guidance and wisdom to RCN for over three decades,” said Marsha Dumka, RCN Interim Executive Director. “Dave’s passion for children and for early childhood education has made a real difference throughout Greater Rochester, and we thank him for his volunteer service.”

Dave has been directly part of the following milestones for the agency:

• 1990: The RCN Foundation is established to support RCN’s programming
• 2004: Capital campaign funds expansion of classrooms, special education space and offices
• 2006: Rochester Children’s Nursery becomes RCN.
• 2007: Celebration of 150th year anniversary.
• 2009: Nurturing Communities Program with Monroe Community College is piloted for young mothers and their babies.
• 2014: RCN Center City location opens to the public.

For the countless hours and counsel he has provided, especially in the board leadership/investment realm, Dave was presented the Jim Robinson Volunteer of the Year Award at the RCN Annual meeting on June 28 at 5:30 PM at their 941 South Ave location.
