October 2017, Rochester, New York: EFPR Group, LLP has announced the acquisition of Fecteau, PLLC, an Albany based CPA firm. The Albany practice will continue to specialize in providing professional services to the affordable housing industry, real estate professionals, and closely held commercial enterprises. In addition, the office will now be able to provide the wide range of services offered by EFPR Group. This transaction strengthens EFPR Group’s leading position as one of the largest providers of audit, tax and related services to the Affordable Housing industry.

This is consistent with EFPR Group’s plan for growth and expansion throughout the Upstate New York market. The Albany office will broaden the firm’s footprint and aid in servicing the firm’s Albany and Hudson Valley client base.

In connection with this acquisition, two partners from the Albany office will be joining the EFPR Group partnership. Julie Cohen, CPA, will be the managing partner of the Albany office and will be a partner in the firm’s Attest department. Julie has over 25 years of public accounting experience and has been with Fecteau for the last 18 years. Kelly Osborn will be a partner in the Tax and Business Services department. Kelly has over 24 years of public accounting experience and has been with Fecteau for the last three years.
