EFPR Group’s Maureen Rutecki Appointed to AICPA Business Valuation Committee
EFPR Group, LLP has announced Maureen M. Rutecki, CPA, ABV, CFF, ASA, MBA has been appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Business Valuation Committee. The AICPA has over 415,000 members nationwide. The committee is comprised of 10 individuals who provide technical and educational guidance to CPA’s in public or private practice. The committee also promotes the relevance of valuation in the accounting profession to increase awareness, as well as growth and demand for CPA’s who provide these services.

Maureen has over 20 years of business consulting and accounting experience encompassing a broad range of companies, complex business arrangements and tangible assets for purposes such as taxation, corporate planning, transactions and financial reporting. Maureen’s litigation experience includes disputes related to diminution in value, shareholder oppression, lost profits and marital dissolution matters.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA.
Maureen is a frequent speaker at programs for start-up and early stage companies and is a member of the firm’s Emerging Technology team. She is also a board member, treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee for the Hochstein School of Music & Dance.
