CAPlus FAFSA Presentation

Please join us January 19th to learn more about the FAFSA and CSS Profile ®. This complimentary educational event will take place at the offices of EFPR Group on Tuesday, January 19th. If you are a parent with children in college or heading to college in 2016 then you know it is time to complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have a student graduating in 2017, this seminar will provide valuable information for your college search. The IRS estimates 42% of FAFSA’s contain errors and last year CAPlus found costly mistakes on 76% of their clients’ forms.

EFPR Group’s strategic partner, College Assistance Plus (CAPlus), is an expert at explaining and interpreting the complexities of the FAFSA. Paul Celuch, owner of CAPlus, and Brenda Piazza, an Educational Specialist, have personally reviewed hundreds of FAFSAs, saving parents thousands of dollars. This event will explain why a review of your FAFSA is extremely important and may save you money. The presentation will cover:

  • The most common mistakes made by parents
  • How the new login procedure affects current college students
  • How the new rules regarding the IRS Retrieval Tool affects families
  • Possible implications with the new FAFSA submission dates

* Bring your FAFSA and ask questions during and after the presentation *

Tuesday, January 19th Morning Presentation: 7:30 AM Evening Presentation: 6:30 PM

Optional: CAPlus is onsite at EFPR from 9-5 on Jan. 19th for individual appointments to perform aFAFSA Review Analysis of your families’ completed FAFSA for the EFPR discounted price of $295.

Remember, the information you report on your FAFSA is used to calculate your EFC (Expected Family Contribution). Financial aid considerations are typically a very large part of the college selection process and the EFC has become the universal common denominator. Experience shows that when College Assistance Plus educates clients about their EFC and the FAFSA process, within the context of a complete college search plan, it adds clarity and peace-of-mind to the unavoidable, stressful, and complex search for the best college fit.
