Internal Accountant (Rochester, NY)
Requirements:

Primarily/Overall:
- Liaison between Director of Finance and Accounting Administrative Staff
- Oversee various functions of Accounting Administration Staff
- Perform critical tasks in the absence of the Accounting Administrative Assistant
- Perform critical tasks in the absence of the Director of Finance
- Assist the Director of Finance with the daily operation of the Finance Department, including but not limited to the following:
Finance:
- Maintain & Oversee Firm’s QuickBooks files
General Ledger:
- Record transactions
- Reconcile GL accounts
- Reconcile inter-company accounts
- Reconcile VPM AR to QuickBooks AR
Accounts Receivable:
- Maintain schedules, record entries
- Work with collections team and Revenue Committee regarding collection efforts
Accounts Payable:
- Cost Controls
- Monitor various issues with vendors
- Assist with weekly AP process, including processing when necessary
Other Assets/Liabilities:
- Maintain prepaid schedules
- Maintain employee advance schedules
- Other subsidiary asset schedules
- Employee withholding accounts
- Deferral accounts
- Other subsidiary liability accounts
Banking Relationship – Administration:
- Assist with Cash Flow Management
- Review/Monitor Firm Credit Cards
- Back up to bank deposits and credit card administration
Financial Reporting Assistance:
- Assist with various schedules maintained for financial statement preparation
- Assist in Budget and Projection Preparation & Maintenance
401-K Administration Assistance:
- Maintain various 401(k) related schedules
- Assist with 401(k) audit preparation
VPM Administration:
- Produce Non-Standard Reports when required
Other:
- Special Projects
- Liaison with IT department re various items
- Monitor various agreements with suppliers/vendors, etc.
- Maintain various spreadsheets
- IT/Communication vendors and services
- Software licenses/renewals/costs
- Facilities leases and CAM reconciliations
- Partner schedules
- Maintain -File retention, leased equipment
- Other as required
- Assist with various required governmental filings (local, State, Federal)
- Back-up to payroll
- Other Finance Department items, as required
Experience:
2 – 5 years of Accounting experience preferred
